Fortnite Battle Royale is the biggest videogame title of recent years. Currently, there are now over 10 million Fortnite players playing the game daily from all over the world. What makes this battle royale title unique isn’t its gunplay nor the realistic graphics behind it. It’s simply the community’s love for the battle royale genre and the way that Epic handles each and every update. When you have this much of players playing your game, you are bound to have some issues regarding the accounts. That’s why Epic Games announced the Two-Factor-Authentication or shortly known as 2FA.

Two-Factor Authentication or 2FA is an additional security layer for online accounts, helping to address the vulnerabilities of a regular password only log in approach. Its main use is to protect your account from any unauthorized access by requiring you to enter an additional code aside from your password when you log in to your Epic Games account. Once you turned the 2FA on your Epic Games account, you will be asked to enter a code coming from your preferred 2FA method which via e-mail being the most common path.

Whenever you log in on a new device, you will be asked to enter your 2FA code, otherwise, you will not be able to have access to your account. This is such a great way to secure an account since it allows you to require to have an additional passcode besides your password. Even if you lose your login information, people outside of the regular device you’re playing will not have access to your account.

You can enable Two-Factor-Authentication from the link down below. Also, Epic Games does a lot of events requiring you 2FA enabled. Whether you are playing safe or not, it can get useful at times.
