2FA Fortnite Enable

By | June 27, 2019

It has been over a year now that Epic Games activated 2FA for all Fortnite accounts but there are still many players that haven’t enabled it yet. This is the biggest reason why Epic does promotions and special live events that can only be participated in if you the account holder enabled 2fa on their Epic Games account.

These events include most recently the Epic Games Store Megasale, Gifting in Fortnite, and contesting in Fortnite World Cup online. Enabling 2fa is easier than you think. All you need to do is to log in on your Epic Games account and click on the Account Settings. From the left menu, select Security&Password and scroll down to 2fa. You can either enable it via your registered e-mail or through an authenticator app such as Google Authenticator.

Unlike most other platforms where 2fa is used, Fortnite will only ask you to enter the security code when you’re logging in from a new device or after not being logged in for 30 days. So you don’t have to use an authenticator every time logging in.
